I'm Ellen,I'm glad to share to you my love for Cameos and Lockets.I am a nurse by profession,after working in the UK,I have decided to settle here for good with my husband and 2 young daughters.I am selling from home which allows me to look after my 2 kids while meeting warm and wonderful people!
It has been overwhelming for me since the first batch of Lockets and Cameos came out.I'm just as happy that there are lots of people out there who share the same fascination with these pieces.In return,I'm in constant search for elegant,one of a kind but affordable lockets and cameos.
My cameos,are made of acrylic/resin,porcelain,and glass,SOME OF WHICH ARE NOT BEING MADE ANYMORE.I am aiming to ultimately use only the highest quality components brass/silver ox in my jewelries(including the brass ox jump rings,July 2009).My oxidized brass & silver components are made & plated in the US and in compliance with California's Lead-Containing Jewelry Law.There is no lead in brass nor is there any used in the plating process of these materials.However,if you're allergic to metal,these items should never be worn(they are after all metal).
It takes about 2-3 sources to complete a jul_Ena's necklace( a cameo from Israel,the States or Canada,setting,charms,glass cabs from different states of America,filigree beads from Guangzhou, natural stones from our local beadstores in the heart of Manila) I DONT SHOPPED MY SUPPLIES FROM ONE STORE ONLY,virtual or real) to make a single necklace.
I take inspiration from those who had come before us,history books,museum photos,flickr!,fashion trends,some are real but mostly virtual,but NEVER FROM A FELLOW-MULTIPLYER! I take extra care in creating them into period inspired pieces,always a reminiscence of the past in the hope they will make future heirlooms.
